Consider This

I want you to consider a simple point of logic. If you are a person who believes that you will go to Heaven just because there is such a place and you are right in your belief, it is not going to hurt you to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior as the Bible says you must. However, on the other land, if you are wrong and the Bible is right, and only those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior go to Heaven, then your choice not to accept Jesus Christ will hurt you for all eternity.

One way of belief has the potential of terrible consequences, the other way, accepting the Gospel of Jesus Christ as presented in the Bible, has no gamble. One choice won't hurt you, regardless of what the truth is; the other choice will cost you your soul in Hell for an eternity if it is not the correct way to believe.

Since our option is to choose one or the other, logically, which is the wise choice? The choice is ours. Like it or not, we will make a choice and it will decide our state of being for eternity. That may sound harsh, but it is the truth. Every person is too valuable to God, regardless of what they may have done in their life up to this point in time. He wants everyone to know the truth. No one could have been any worse than the Apostle Paul before he learned the truth of Jesus Christ.

Repent (decide in your heart to change your way of thinking) and accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior and Lord. That is what Paul did and what millions have done since. It is the only true way to know for sure that you are going to Heaven. If you are sincere and mean it from the heart, you will experience a spiritual rebirth. It is not necessary to understand what all this means. You will know that it happened and you will be in the Kingdom of God and on your way to Heaven.

God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer: "Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for sacrificing Your life on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my heart and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and making it possible for me to spend my eternal life in Heaven. Take control of the throne of my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be." If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, pray this prayer right now, and Christ will come into your life as He promised. It is then important that you locate a church that believes in and follows true biblical Christianity so that you can become grounded in the World of God and be active in Christian fellowship.

The Bible promises eternal life in Heaven to all who receive and remain faithful to Christ. "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life" (I John 5:11-13).

Sincerely, I close this letter with God's Love,
